If the declared product name for international express delivery is incorrect, you must take timely action to amend it.
In this article, Weefreight will explain in detail and hope it will be helpful.
Order Amendment Process
Document Preparation: You must submit the “Import and Export Goods Declaration Amendment/Cancellation Form” and provide relevant documents and certifications, such as contracts, invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, or cargo manifests, that can prove the actual import and export goods, as well as a detailed explanation. All documents must be stamped with the official seal.
Application Submission: Submit your application through the “Internet + Customs” integrated online service platform or the unified version of the “Single Window” for international trade. Enter the relevant information regarding the declaration amendment into the system and upload the electronic data of the required documents.
Customs Review: Customs will conduct a preliminary review of the application materials. If they meet the requirements, they will be transferred to the review office. If they do not meet the requirements, the system will provide a reason. The review office will conduct further review and, after confirmation, connect the application to the customs business system for the amendment process.
Feedback: After customs completes the process, the system will provide the results to the company, who can then check the processing progress on the platform.
Costs of Order Modification
The cost of order modification varies depending on the courier, the condition of the shipment, and the details of the modification. Generally speaking, if the modification is made before the package leaves the domestic distribution center, the fee is relatively low. For example, EMS’s modification fee is 90 yuan per shipment, DHL’s is 280 yuan per shipment, and FedEx’s is 350 yuan per shipment. If the modification is made after the shipment has been loaded or arrived at the port, the fee can increase significantly, potentially reaching 500-2000 yuan per modification. Furthermore, if the modification involves pre-registered customs declaration information, additional customs fines may be incurred.
(Note: All fees listed above are for reference only. Please refer to your actual invoice for details. Thank you!)
