Temu has upgraded its merchant management policies, adding a new “N-Level” merchant tier (triggered when three metrics, including on-time delivery rate, all reach Level 1). It also optimizes tiered benefits: S-Level merchants receive increased inventory depth and new product traffic support, while C-Level merchants face account withdrawal restrictions. The platform has also increased penalties for violations. The first use of an abnormal logistics tracking number will result in the removal of the entire store and a 15-day withdrawal freeze. A second violation will result in termination of the partnership.
Starting August 10th, a single entity can open three fully managed stores, and new stores no longer need to go through the same regulatory procedures as European distributors. Regarding intellectual property protection, accumulated infringement complaints will be reset to zero on the 366th day. This adjustment aims to improve fulfillment efficiency through tiered management, strengthen crackdowns on violations, and maintain the healthy development of the platform ecosystem.
New N-Level Merchants: The Temu platform has added an “N-Level” merchant tier. Merchants rated at Level 1 (the lowest level) in all three core operational metrics—delivery timeliness, logistics efficiency, and after-sales response—will receive the “N-Level” label and become subject to the platform’s key monitoring.
Differentiated Merchant Benefits: S-Level merchants on the platform enjoy privileges such as a 30% increase in the inventory limit for popular products, weighted exposure for new products in the first 30 days of launch, and dedicated customer service channels. C-Level merchants, on the other hand, are required to achieve an 85% collection rate within 48 hours. Consistently falling below 80% triggers the N-Level label and imposes account withdrawal restrictions.
Strengthened Penalties for Violations: Temu has increased penalties for violations. The first time a merchant uses an abnormal logistics tracking number, the platform will remove their entire store and freeze withdrawals for 15 days. A second violation will result in the termination of the merchant’s partnership.
Store Opening Adjustments: Starting August 10th, a single entity can open up to three fully managed stores. New stores no longer need to go through the same regulatory procedures for EU and US distribution.
