In 2020, Amazon Business surpassed 1 million customer accounts worldwide. By August 20, 2025, Amazon announced that its business unit served over 8 million organizations worldwide (excluding emerging markets), demonstrating rapid growth.
From a regional perspective, the Indian market, for example, has also shown remarkable growth. Amazon Business in India has grown from 14,000 sellers at its inception in 2017 to a fivefold increase in its customer base by 2023. In 2024, 70% of Amazon Business India’s new customers were from Tier 2 cities and below. According to representatives, Amazon Business India’s sales have grown at a compound annual growth rate of approximately 50% over the past five years, with growth exceeding this rate in the first three months of 2025.
